Pico 2 Power/Up down and led status

Hi Ti,

We are using several Pico2  in an our application ,

we are experiencing problem related to power management using extern Power/on/off.

becase we are connected directly to a PC via HDMI and usinga I2C on external side cable.....

We have seen that sometimes  the Pico does not react correctly to the Power ON OFF sequence , it depends also by

the presence of the connected Hdmi and by the state of the Video activity....

All these difefrent situations modify the intensity and color of the status led on the pico2: brigh green, light green, off , red ,yellow...

Is there and explation of such color and intesity, and a safe procedure to turn on/ off the pico?

Best Regards

Giovanni

  • Giovanni,

Hello. I will try to understand your problem and give you some help.

First, could you tell me clearly what your setup is, and what sequence of things you are doing?

Are you connecting one PC to one Pico Kit V2 via the DVI/HDMI cable? Are you doing the ON/OFF sequence by pressing the silver button on the face of the Pico Kit? Are you connected to the I2C? What device are you using as an I2C interface? Do the I2C lines have voltage on them when these problems occur?

Once I have a clearer idea of your configuration and usage, I can attempt to duplicate it here and figure out what is happening.

    Best regards,
