Question about running LightCrafter 4500 in 4kHz(250us: period time).

When I tried to capture frames in 1kHz or 2kHz, there is no problem.

The camera can capture each pattern a frame (1 pattern per 1 picture)

However, as shown below, when the period time is 250us(4kHz), the camera captured patterns every 2 frames.

This is my configuration for the system.

If anyone knows about the problem or solve the problem, let me know how to solve it and what I have to correct.

Thanks

  • Is your Camera hardware synchronized to the Projector display; I am not sure if your camera is capable of capturing frames at 4KHz speed, what is your camera resolution?
From DLP side you can look at the TRIG_OUT_1 signal, you can perhaps use a photodetector to capture the display output, we have verified that projector displays the pattern @ 4KHz.
Most probably the limitation should be from camera side.

  • The camera is phantom camera which can capture 1frames in 10khz.

When I run it, 'Seq running' is green and 'Seq Abort' is red. I think there are some problems in my settings.

Do I need to 'clear' the check box, 'Clear DMD after exposure'?

Does the function'Clear DMD after expousre' take some time to process?

    Thanks
