How can I control 4100 kit using embedded processors?

The Discovery kit is a lower level hardware implementation than our LightCrafter series.  To use an embedded processor to send 1 bit images you will need to define an interface to the APPS_FPGA on board the kit and write VHDL code for the APPS_FPGA to interpret and send the information over the LVDS bus to the DLPC410 controller.

You will need access to the MySecureSoftware Discovery area in order to get the source code for APPS_FPGA as a starting point.  There are two versions, the PatternGenerator (PAT_GEN) that loads on power up and sends patterns to the controller and the GUI version that accepts data over the USB interface and formats and sends it to the controller to display.

Please request access from the Design Partner that you acquired the kit from.
