DLPC350 Pattern Trigger

Genius 5960 points

Hi,

I want to operate with Pattern Sequence mode 1bit pattern.

In the case of 1bit, Pattern Rate is 4225Hz.(DLPU011E Table 4-1. Allowable Pattern Combinations)

Pattern Exposure = 236uS  (4225Hz ≒ 236uS)

Pattern Period =467uS

But it was operated by the above setting,

Period of the waveform was 499uS.

Q1) Why is longer than about setting time 32uS?

Q2) When operating at 1bit Pattern, It is the above setting the fastest settings?

Best Regards,

hamada

  • Q1) When you apply the settings and play the sequence if you are noticing the Sequence Abort in the status flag; you can either increase the Pattern Period or just keep the Pattern Exposure = Pattern Period.

Q2) You can set Pattern exposure = Pattern Period = 232 then 'clear' the check box 'Clear DMD after exposure' this will yield the maximum speed.

    Regards,
    Sanjeev
  • Hi,

    >Q1) When you apply the settings and play the sequence if you are noticing the Sequence Abort in the status flag; you can either increase the Pattern Period or just keep the Pattern Exposure = Pattern Period.

    Pattern Exposure = 236uS (4225Hz ≒ 236uS)
    Pattern Period =467uS

Do you this setting there is a problem?
There was no error in the entry of ”Sequnece Validation and Control”.

    >Q2)You can set Pattern exposure = Pattern Period = 232 then 'clear' the check box 'Clear DMD after exposure' this will yield the maximum speed.

    OK. Thank you.

  • Q1) Although GUI is not showing the error condition, if you see in the Status, if it is showing Sequence Error, you have to adjust the pattern exposure timings.

    Regards,
    Sanjeev
  • Hi, Sanjeev.

    >Q1) Although GUI is not showing the error condition, if you see in the Status, if it is showing Sequence Error, you have to adjust the pattern exposure timings.

    OK. Thank you.

    Let me question additionally, please.

My customers are the following settings.

     ・Pattern Exposure = 250uS

     ・Pattern Period = 500uS

The waveform of the case will be below.

    Q3)

I hope that the Pattern Period is 500uS.

However, it has become a Pattern Period = 540uS.

How will it be Pattern Period = 500uS?

    Best Regards,

    hamada

  • Q3) Can you measure the TRIG_OUT_2 duration? It should show 500us. Now within the TRIG_OUT_2 there is TRIG_OUT_1 ON time that will map to the pattern exposure time - 250us.

    Regards,
    Sanjeev
  • Hi, Sanjeev.

    Thank you for reply.

    >Q3) Can you measure the TRIG_OUT_2 duration? It should show 500us. Now within the TRIG_OUT_2 there is TRIG_OUT_1 ON time that will >map to the pattern exposure time - 250us.

    TRIG_OUT_2 = 20uS

I want to set as follows.

    Pattern Period = 500uS
    Pattern Exposure = 250uS

How should a GUI be established?

    Best Regards,
    hamada
  • Hi Hamada-san,

    I think you are misunderstanding.

I am asking TRIG_OUT_2 period i.e., Rising edge to the next rising edge that is the TRIG_OUT_2 period. I think you are measuring the just the pulse width.

Rising edge of TRIG_OUT_2 to next rising edge duration must be - 500us

The pattern exposure precisely maps on TRIG_OUT_1 signal.

    Regards,

    SAnjeev

  • Hi, Sanjeev.

    Thank you for reply.

    Reply to this slower.

Rising edge to the next rising edge that is the TRIG_OUT_2 period

    -> 540uS.

    I want to Pattern Period = 500uS.

How should a GUI be established?

    Best Regards,

    hamada

  • Check setting pattern period to 460us instead of 500us, do you get 500us period?
    Regards,
    Sanjeev
  • Hi, Sanjeev.

    Thank you for reply.

It was set to Pattern Period = 460uS.

In that case, you get an error such as attachments.

Are there other ways to achieve it?

Is the specification of the current firmware?

    Best Regards,

    hamada

  • Hi Hamada,
I am able to reproduce the issue you are posting in the beginning.
For 500us pattern period, please set Pattern Exposure = 231us and Pattern Period = 480 us.
We are seeing the pattern exposure is different from actual applied and we will let you know futher details on selecting different timing.
    Regards,
    Sanjeev
  • Hi. Sanjeev.

    Thank you for reply.

    >For 500us pattern period, please set Pattern Exposure = 231us and Pattern Period = 480 us.

I checked the operation by the setting you showed.

      Pattern Period = 500uS
      Pattern Exposure = 231uS

My customers want to set Pattern Period = 500uS, Pattern Exposer = 250uS.

Do you have a plan of an update of firmware?

    Best Regards,
    hamada
  • Hi Hamada-san,

Not immediately. It will take sometime before we update with the fix. Also currently we cannot give any time estimation.

    Regards,

    Sanjeev

  • Hi, Sanjeev.

    For this matter,
Do you have any plans of a firmware update?

    Best Regards,
    hamada
  • Hi Hamada-san,
We have marked this particular issue for tracking; as of now we haven't started working on this. I cannot comment on rough availability date for the fix to be available in the firmware software.
    Regards,
    Sanjeev
  • Hi, Sanjeev-san.

    Thank you for reply.

I'm OK. Please tell me if there is an update.

Further, when the operation check under the following conditions,

Becoming LED Enable = H fixed.

    ●Condition

     - Pattern Sequence Mode

     - Video Port

     - Vsync

     - Pattern Exposer = Pattern Period

    LED_EN.xlsx

Because I think that it is an unintended behavior, thank you for confirmation.

    Best Regards,

    hamada

  • Hi,

    How about this case?
    I'm waiting for a contact.
