Mask less Fabrication with the DLP 3010

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP3010

How do I use the DLP 3010 for Mask less Fabrication?

  • Hello Shelby,

Thank you for your interest in our DLP Technology.  Can you please provide  a little bit more information on your requirements and what application are you targeting ?

Do you want to replace a light source with the DLP3010 DMD ?

    Thanks,

    Nadine

  • I like to use the system for maskless photolithography for making MEMS devices by the students. Please let me know what I may need to build a complete system. We could mount the system on a mask-aligner that we have in the lab for X-Y-Z and rotation alignments. We have not bought the system yet. we were looking at the DLP 3010 kit to purchase. Could you suggest which way should we go to build the system for the laboratory use by students.
    Thank you
    Shelby
  • Hi Shelby,

I'm with DLP Advanced Light Control, Nadine asked me to take a look at your question.

Video and Data Display products like the LightCrafter Display 3010 are designed for display applications. I would encourage you to take a look at Advanced Light Control products for an application like photolithography. We offer similar EVMs like the LightCrafter and the LightCrafter 4500, which have pixel-level accuracy and a few other benefits for non-display applications.

If you have any questions feel free to post on the forum at this link, or on a DLP forum specific to your EVM.

    Thanks,

    Trevor

  • Hello

I'm one of the students working on this project, after looking at most of the dlp dev kits we figured something like the lightcrafter 4500 would be more ideal but it costs much more. Also we think that a type A DMD with a Corning 7056 window would be necessary because our light source in the lab projects light at 350 nm wavelength.

My questions are is there anyway to get around using a UV rated DMD? We did not plan on using any light source used for typical display purposes. Also does TI have any optics recommendations for using a dev kit like the 4500 for photo lithography? We've seen previous projects use the camera port on a microscope to focus and reduce the image on their substrate. This was an option we were looking at if we could find a trinocular microscope at our universities surplus warehouse. And finally does Ti offer any special pricing or discounts for students or universities?

    Thanks - Jacob
  • Hello Jacob,

I moved your questions into the 4500 LightCrafter forum.

You will receive an answer to your questions soon.

    Best regards,

    Nadine
