Accidentally loaded wrong file into firmware update

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC300, DLPR300

Hi,

I was attempting to update the DLPC300 and I put in a wrong file into the File box.(lcr_dm365_v5_nand.dat). The program stopped responding and now the light crafter doesn't even display the splash screen. How do I reset the firmware back to the default?

  • Hi Tadewos,

Welcome to the DLP section of the TI-E2E community!

In case the Lightcrafter is still communicating, you can re-load the DLPC3000 firmware:

The .bin file for the DLPC300 is actually installed at C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments-DLP\DLP LightCrafter DLPR300 PROM, that is the default directory, in case you have not changed the directory location during the installation.

You may need to restore the DM365 firmware. Section 2.13 of the LightCrafter User's Guide describes in detail how to update the DM365 and other devices on the Lightcrafter.
