Problems with TIDA-00361

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00361

We tested the system according to TIDA-00361 and met the problems:

1. Can not enter the height and width correctly. After 1 pressed,  the system gave: "Enter the length of the square:"(Please note that no height or width). If the key of "Enter" pressed, the system will save something and display the order list again.

We hope to know the right sequence for inputing the height and width.

2. After that, the light from DLP was green.

3. At last, display was grey.

What is the reson?

Thanks.

  • Hi Ren:

We met the same problem,  is there anyboday can give some suggestion ?

    Regards

  • Hi,

The height and width will be the same, so we only require one value to be input. Did you have an issue after inputting a value and pressing <enter>? After you perform this step you will need to perform a camera calibration and system calibration before the scanner will work.

    Thanks,
    Clinton
  • Hi, Clinton

    Thanks for your reply.

According to Page 39 of TIDU985, camera Calibration Board is a rectangle, not a square. Should I enter the width or height in there? Or I had to get the board as a square?

    Another question:

As the TIDU985, white light will be projected. Now, that is green. How to change it to white?

    Thanks again.

  • Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. Please enter the length of the side of one of the checkerboard squares. We will actually be releasing a new version of this TI Design in a week or so. The SW and documentation will be updated. Please use this updated material once available.

The LightCrafter LED driver is only configured to turn on one LED at a time. Given this architecture, in order to project the minimal amount of patterns a single LED is used for illumination. You can change this to red or blue, if you would like, in the projector calibration file.

    Thanks,
    Clinton
  • Thanks.

I get in "1", that is work. but the length on the point cloud is triple of the same length on the object.

Now, I am working whit the new one.

    Thanks again.
