How long will the Lightcrafter LCR4500EVM remain available and supported

I am trying to asses the suitability of incorporating a lightcrafter 4500 into an assembly. It is important to know the expected lifetime but I cant seem to find a hard number anywhere.

I would also like to know how long TI expect the evaluation module to remain available and supported?

Hi Alastair,

The LightCrafter4500 is an active device and we currently do not have any plans to discontinue it.

That being said, it is an evaluation module and not recommended to be sold as an end product. If you are looking to productize the LightCrafter4500, you could work with one of our design house partners (www.ti.com/.../solutions-services.page), such as Wintech or Keynote Photonics.
