Buffers in the video mode

Hey Experts,

I am using the projector in video mode as a second screen connected over HDMI. I want to know how the images are projected over the DMD while in the video mode. Does it goes through the 24-bit buffers as mentioned under the pattern sequence section of the manual? Please explain me the complete pathway a frame takes inside the projector before getting displayed over the DMDs. This information could be very important for my project because I need minimum latency between a frame send from a computer and displayed over the DMDs.

Hi Aamir,
The incoming data through HDMI is first stored in the frame buffer; basically it operates on the two buffer concept, in the ping-pong fashion, when the new frame data written into say Buffer-'A' the controller would be busy displaying content from the Buffer-'B' at the end of display the buffers are swapped i.e., Read Buffer becomes Write Buffer and Write Buffer becomes read buffer.
The latency here is one full frame time, in simple, it will be equal to video frame period or VSYNC period or 1/frame-rate (in Hz)

Buffer switching happens on Hardware VSYNC signal.
