Hello User,
Thank you for your interest in our DLP Technology.
The dimensions of the EVM are following 210mmx140mmx120mm. The DLP LightCrafter Display 4710 EVM is an evaluation module therefore we don't have a tripod on the bottom of the EVM.
Best regards,
Nadine
Thank you for the reply. Then, is there any way I can fix the EVM to project images at 45 degree vertical? Does it have any screw holes on the bottom?
Hello User,
The DLP LightCrafter Display 4710 EVM is mainly for display application and should provide customer with the opportunity to get familiar with our chipset.
The EVM comes in a housing which gives customer the ability to measure signals, look at the waveform and evaluate the chipset. This housing is not build for a final end-product application and therefore doesn't come with a tripod.
We keep it up to our customers to modify the housing or relate the board to fit their final end application. If you would like to have more details on the current housing I can provide you with the CAD file of the EVM.
For structured light application I would recommend the DLP LightCrafter 4500.
This EVM is typically used in 3D measurement applications.
Best regards,
Nadine
Thank you for the reply. Could you please send me the CAD file of the 4710 EVM so that I can check the details on the housing.
Also, could you please explain why the LightCrafter 4500 is better than 4710 for structured light application? I don't understand because the 4701 has better resolution (1080p) and square (not diamond) shape pixel that is more suitable for structured light application.
Thank you so much for your supports.
Hello User,
You should have received a download link for the 1080p EVM CAD files.
The 1080p EVM does support a resolution of 1920x1080. The frame rate has to be set to 60Hz to support an input resolution of 1080p. The frame rate is limited by the pixel clock of 150Mhz.
With a input resolution of 1280x720p a frame rate of 120Hz is possible.
The DLP LightCrafter 4710 EVM is mainly for display application. To achieve the desired image quality we are doing video processing. For structured light application you normally would like to achieve the best accuracy as possible therefore you have to turn off the video processing functions.
The DLP LightCrafter 4710 EVM doesn't support disabling the video processing functions. So you could still use the DLP LightCrafter 4710 EVM but it will be less accurate.
Best regards,
Nadine
