Hi, I am liu qi. My question is that why we should let the incoming light focus on the DMD at 24°, if we let the light be normal incidence on the DMD, what  the result would be? look forward your reply,thank you!

    Hi Liu Qi,

    It's probably easier to show it graphically than explain in angles that are all relative to each other.

    I think the graphic on the second page of this application note will illustrate the answer for you very well. Check out the illumination angle, the on-state light, the flat state (unused), and the off-state light for your answer.
