DLP LightCrafter 4500 with defective USB connector

I purchased a DLPCR4500EVM in late April, and I received it a few days ago. I could not used it for several days due to travel. Yesterday I unpack it and try to connect the cables for testing. When I plugged in the USB cable the mini-USB connector popped out of the board along with solder and traces. I did not put any force on the connector. We have a few other devices like this one in my lab, and they all work fine. I had never had this problem before.
