Programming LightCrafter 4500 for 3D printing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00293, DLPC350

Hello,

I will be working with a lab that will be using the LightCrafter 4500 for 3D printing. I have read the TIDA-00293 DLP 3D Printer User's Guide

, but this document is for a 3D printer that happens to include the LightCrafter 4500. Does the LightCrafter 4500 come with instructions on how I could use it for 3D printing even if I were building my own 3D printer?

  • Hi Dennys,

Glad you were able to find our 3D printer reference design and the forums. That design is meant to be a reference for 3D printing with DLP technology. We provide all details of the design, so you can reuse pieces or get ideas for your solution. Fundamentally, any of our chipsets can be used for 3D printing.

If you want to become more familiar with the LightCrafter4500 generally, take a looks at the user's guide as well as the DLPC350 (the DLP controller) programmer's guide for more information.

If there are specific questions you have, please feel free to post them here.

    Thanks,
    Clinton
