How to use the DLP LightCrafter 6500 SDK

Since I have to write a simple c++ program for controlling DLP 6500, I have followed the steps in the guide http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/dlpu042/dlpu042.pdf and installed the ALC SDK.

In QT Creator I'm able compile image_file_io.cpp with no errors, so I'm guessing the SDK is correctly installed.

However I have not much experience in programming c++ and do not understand the Doxygen-documentation in detail, so I was wandering if anyone out there could provide me with an example of how to connect to DLP 6500, put it in the 'Pattern on-the-fly mode' and upload an image?

It would be much appreciated. Also I would be grateful for any hits that could point me in the right direction.

Thanks for your question. For what you're trying to accomplish, I would recommend that you actually download the GUI for the Lightcrafter 6500, which is found in the software bundle on the main EVM page. In that software bundle you'll also find the source code for the GUI which will give you something to look at and emulate as you write your own program. www.ti.com/.../dlplcr6500evm

The DLP ALC SDK is primarily intended for machine vision applications at this point and not for general use (creating patterns, etc.) We are hoping that in the future that it might be more general.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll try to have a look at the source code.
Is there any documentation or guides on how to get started with the source code?

There is a user's guide which will help you use the GUI: http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/dlpu028b/dlpu028b.pdf.

As far as a guide on compiling or modifying the GUI code, there is not currently any documentation on that.
