DLPDLCR3010EVM Throw ratio problem

Hey there,

We bought some time ago DLPDLCR3010EVM module. The choice of this module was based on documentation (dlpu029a), and it says that the throw ratio is 1.65. After we assembled the device with module, we discovered that it throw ratio is wrong, and the real value of our module is around 1.17.

How can we exchange the product for right one and how to make sure, next modules will have correct throw ratio?

There is no response from "Support" and the guy from LiveChat send me here.

Thanks,

Artur

  • Hello Artur,

Thank you for pointing that out. We will update the User's Guide.

If needed you can return the EVM. Please follow the instructions shown in the brochure which comes with the EVM.

    Best regards,

    Nadine

  • Hello Nadine,

Thank you for your reply. But returning it back does not resolve all the problems. Do you have any other EVM with ~1.65 throw ratio?

We cannot contact the optics supplier, because they do not want to cooperate. They do not reply to emails, and do not want to speak via phone. We chosen "Anhuaoe" company, because they have got the engine with parameters we need. Or maybe do you have any contact that would reply to our emails, or talk with us via phone? (We have got in our company a person who knows chinese if needed).

    Thanks,
    Artur

  • Hello Artur,

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems to get in contact with Anhua. The contact information for our optical engine manufactures can be found under following link:

We also have the option to buy optical engines directly from our TI.com page. Please see following link:

The Ongine engine has a throw-ratio of 1.66.

    Best regards,

    Nadine

  • Hello Nadine,

Thank you for reply. I was also looking at this Ongine engine, but it says "Sold Out", and that status is there for a while.

I will try to contact some other suppliers.

    Thank you for help,

    Artur

  • Hello Artur,

Please contact Ongine directly. They should have the optical engine available if needed.

    Thanks,

    Nadine
