Hello，

I'm now working on the DMD and wondering the relationship between the pixel of the picture and the DMD mirror.

1）Since we can control the deflection of DMD by the state of pictures,that means one pixel control one micro mirror's deflection?

2）The document--"DLP4500 0.45 WXGA DMD" describes the DMD has 912 × 1140 Resolution Array.And the following picture(provided by document--"DLP4500 0.45 WXGA DMD" )shows the DMD's part size.And my question is:the row has 912 micro mirrors,the column has 1140 mirrors? If so,why?

It has to do with the fact that the pixels are arranged in a diamond configuration.

If your image is 912 x 1140, then yes, 1 pixel equals 1 mirror. If you have a different resolution, the mapping will depend on the image editor, the image itself and the output of the algorithm the DLPC350 uses to map the image to the mirrors.

Why a larger physical has more micro mirror ,while smaller physical has less micro mirror?As my question 2 has described.

Xing,

The mirrors take up more space in a diamond configuration in the x-dimension (horizontal) which is why there are fewer mirrors on that axis. The diamond configuration allows more mirrors to be placed vertically which is why there are more mirrors on the vertical direction.
