DLP7000BFLP: Max Frame Update?

Genius 5355 points
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP7000, DLPC410

Hi Support,

Please advise what is the max frame update this device can achieve.

Can update 8 bit resolution frame at 290 Hz?

Thanks.

  • Hi ikon,

The DLPC410 can support this speed. The DLP7000 can switch at 1900Hz with 8bit resolution. The datasheets for these devices have more detailed information.

    Thanks,
    Paul
  • I'd like to elaborate a little further. When using the DLPC410 and DLP7000, you'll need an FPGA to handle the data being sent to the DLPC410. That controller only accepts binary data input and does not create any patterns. Therefore, to achieve the speeds you're looking for, you'll need to use solid state illumination and have an FPGA that is fast enough to send the data at the speed you desire. This device pair is the one of the fastest and most flexible that DLP provides, but it also requires a lot of front end work from the system.

    Hope that helps!
