Welcome to the DLP Forums and thank you for your question. Let's see if we can resolve your issue. I'm glad you've got the latest version of the FW. Make sure you're using the latest software package with latest GUI (should be 3.0.1).

Can you trying setting your computer to "extend" the display and making sure that the second monitor is set to 1280 x 800 resolution? It is crucial that the input data be the right resolution.

All I see is that and can't change resolution:

Hmm. You can connect to the GUI over USB which is good. You have an HDMI to mini-HDMI cable connected between the LCr4500 and the PC correct?

I was able to get my unit to automatically show my screen without even opening the GUI, so we need to figure out why that's not happening.

Can you try displaying an internal test pattern just to confirm that functionality?

Other users have reported this problem when they've had a bad cable. Can you test a different cable or wiggle the cable around to see if anything changes?

I have HMDI-mini to HDMI-mini cable between projector and NVidia card.
When I select Internal Test Pattern - logo goes away, and I see only white screen.

I do not have another cable, just received this cable and this one HDMI C mini - C HDMI-mini  with Ethernet, and found most of the users with HDMI problem solved it by switching to HDMI with Ethernet (as I have).

The main goal is to make it work under Linux (ubuntu 16.04) and I can detect LC4500 under Linux but no signal on the screen except logo

Can you change the test pattern from "Solid Field" to "Grid" or one of the other patterns?

Are you able to try a new HDMI cable?

My other thought is that perhaps it's a video card setting. Can you explore those and see if there might be any that are preventing you from a second display or a low resolution display?

Can you see if you can read the EDID information as suggested in the thread above? That would let me know if it is corrupted.

Another test to run - try lowering your monitor's refresh rate to 30Hz or 48Hz and see if that changes anything.

Just solved this with other NVIDIA card. Not happy about it, but it works. Thank you Paul!
Is it possible to disable gamma correction in Video mode?

Glad you got it working! It is not possible to disable gamma correction in video mode. Pattern mode has all video functions disabled.

Can I ask you for the exact value this gamma correction? I likely need to compensate it o NVIDIA driver and camera.

I'll need to ask around to see if I can find it. I was mistaken though - if you're able to write your own code to send I2C commands to the Lightcrafter 4500, there is a command that you can send to turn off the gamma correction in video mode:

I had a success with compensating gamma with NVidia drivers, gamma ~ 1.7 helps a lot, but I can't really understand how I can disable via I2C. Can I do the same via USB?

There is also a USB command you can use. If you have some code that you use to control the lightcrafter that is not the GUI, then you could implement that command in 2.4.2.1 in your code. Otherwise, just do what you did with the graphics card - that should work great.
