Physical dimensions

Hello,

I'd like to integrate this unit into my design, but I need the dimensions to do so.

Can someone provide the external envelope dimensions of the unit, and also the dimensions of the optical axis to the edges of the unit?

Hello Huge,

The physical dimensions of this EVM are following 210mmx140mmx120mm. Please note that this is only a reference design based on the optical engine from Qisda.

In a final design the PCB size can be reduced and the overall form factor can be smaller by using a smaller optical engine.

The DLPDLCR4710EVM is not available for sale anymore. We release a new DLPDLCR4710EVM-Gen2 which is actual smaller in size and is achieving 600 Lumens.

Thanks for the information, this is very useful. Do you have any information regarding where the optical axis is on the unit, ie. the distance from the bottom and the side to the centre of the aperture?

The Gen2 I assume is this:

Is this correct? Can you provide dimensional information for the Gen2 version also?

Hello Hugo,

The optical engine design is owned by the optical engine manufacture. Any specific questions regarding the design has to be addressed to the optical engine manufacture.

For the DLP LightCrafter 4710 EVM the optical engine manufacture is Qisda. The DLP LightCrafter Display 4710 EVM -Gen2 is using an optical engine from Young Optics.

Yes correct the Gen2 is the DLP LightCrafter Display 4710 EVM Gen2.
