How to control specific mirror(s) in DLP3000?

Hi everyone,

I am using DLP3000 with DLP LightCrafter EVM.

I am wondering if it is possible to control specific mirrors in DLP with sending commands, or images? In MATLAB,  I have tried sending images (binary) with the size 684*608 to control, but it seems not working properly. Is there any other ways?

Thank you!

Cheers!

Chenyin

  • Hi Chenyin,

Welcome to the DLP Forums and thank you for your question!

Can you describe in more detail the approach that you have tried? Before using MATLAB, I would make sure that you understand how to use the GUI that is provided for the Lightcrafter. http://www.ti.com/lcrfw3_win
The user's guide is here: www.ti.com/.../dlpu006

The GUI will allow you to upload patterns of your choosing. As a point of clarification, to control individual mirrors, you must send an entire image to the Lightcrafter. There is no functionality that allows you to say, "Flip mirror X please." The Lightcrafter does have pixel accurate projection, so you do get mirror level control, but you have shift how you think about it slightly.

    Hope that helps,
    Paul
