DLPC3435: EEPROM & Programmers guide

Part Number: DLPC3435

Hi Support team

Customer has questions on the DLPC3435 wrt if the eeprom is required, and if required who/how does the data get put into the device? One section of the data sheet says it is a requirement, picture shows it as optional.

In the programmers guide

1) In the SW Programmer's Guide, where's the command to program the polarity of VSYNC, HSYNC, and DATAEN and the PCLK active edge?

DATAEN is optional.   Where is the command to enable or disable it?

See the datasheet section 8.3.1.1.

2)   We may want to use PDM_CVS_TE.

  a)   Is there a timing diagram showing the use of this?

  b)   What frame does the update suppression go into effect?

Thanks,

Jeff

  • Hello Jeff,

Thank you for your interest in our DLP Technology.

I assume you are referring to our flash device. The flash is storing the firmware for the DLP controller and is necessary in each system. The flash is not optional.

One component of the DLP system is the optical engine with the DMD installed. The optical engine manufacture provides in the most common cases the flash firmware with the optical engine.

We have a list of optical engine manufactures we normally work with located under following link:

Regarding the PDM_CVS_TE signal we currently don't have a timing diagram available but the PDM_CVS_TE is restricted to change only during Vertical blanking. The next frame after that will be dismissed.

I attached screenshots for the needed commands you were interested in.

    Best regards,

    Nadine
