DLP for Projection Mapping

Hi,

Customer of mine would like to develop a project called Projection Mapping. Their idea is to integrate this Projection Mapping into the audio product to enable animation screening while audio playback.

The link below is rather close to what they intend to develop:

I intend to propose TI DLP solution to them but I was rather new to this technology.

could you advise if the EVM below suitable for them to start off their idea:

Appreciate your advise on this matter.

Thanks

  • Hi Eng Lih Khaw,

For that particular application, I'm going to refer you over to the Video and Data Display team who deal more with traditional projection applications such as this one - they'll be able to give you good advice.

If would be helpful if you'd be able to describe what type of resolution you need as well as your projection distance. Thanks!

  • Hello Eng Lih Khaw,

Thank you for your interest in our DLP Technology. Yes, DLP can be used for projection mapping applications.

All of our current EVMs are mainly for customers to get familiar with the DLP chipset and get a better understanding about the DLP Technology.

We don't have EVMs available for a specific end-application and we leave it up to our customer to do additional implementations if needed.

Your customer can start our with any of the EVM's listed below depending on resolution and brightness needed:

    - DLP LightCrafter Display 2010 EVM
    - DLP LightCrafter Display 3010 EVM
    - DLP LightCrafter Display 4710 EVM-G2

Your customer still would have to choose a different front-end processor who would allow him to do the necessary image processing for projection mapping.

Purchasing an EVM will be definitely a good starting point.

    Best regards,
    Nadine
