DLP6500FYE: TIR Prism

Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can purchase a (double) TIR prism for the DLP6500FYE?

I am having a hard time finding the prism, which to the best of my understanding should be tailor designed specifically for this device.

I am not interested in a complete optics solutions, only in the prism.

In short, these prisms are patented and TI cannot provide any recommendations on where to buy just the prisms.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your reply.
However, despite several attempts I am still struggling to find one.
I contacted several of the third party companies but thus far to no avail.
I understand that TI cannot provide a formal reply.
Could you perhaps direct me to a forum where power users/someone free of restrictions can help me out?
I'm really having a hard time locating such prisms.

There you can try the Optical module manufacturers or Design service providers.

Paul is correct that it is difficult since the TIR is patented. You could also inquire with them about a reverse TIR (RTIR).
