Hi everyone,

I have two question about the photodiode placed in the reflectance head in front of the halogen lamp:

- which is the aim of such light sensor? It is used from the board in order to set the right configuration during the SCAN or is it used only as additional information?

-where i can found the part number of the photodiode?

The idea of the photodiode is to measure light intensity and track lamp changes. In this way, this could be used as an indication to the user that a new reference scan needs to be captured since the lamp output has decreased since the last reference scan due to lamp decay. The current software just reads the value and stores it as part of the scan header.

The photodiode part number is in the Bill of Materials (BOM) of the NIRscan Nano design under the "Download BOM" button.
