In TI DN 2510328 Rev A (Pico Chipset Programmers Guide) under '4.4.17 CPU Interface Image Mode' it  is mentioned that under 'Full Image Mode' the framebuffer is bypassed.

Does this also imply that the SDRAM is not necessary as a framebuffer in this mode?
