DLPLIGHTCRAFTER: Controlling a fan via GPIO_1 (FAN PWM)

Part Number: DLPLIGHTCRAFTER

Good afternoon.

I was wondering, as stated in the title, if there's a way to control the PWM frequency and duty cycle of a fan connected to mentioned pin (GPIO_1) from software. The name "FAN PWM" (in Lightcrafter 4500 GUI) suggests that it should be possible, but I haven't been able to find a way to do it in either the GUI or in the DLPC API source code.

Do I have to use the PWM functionality of GPIO_0 and GPIO_2 to achieve this?

Sincerely, Henrik.

  • Henrik,

Welcome to the DLP forums and thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not allow control of that pin on the Lightcrafter 4500 EVM, even though (as you noted) the GUI suggests that this ought to be possible. I'm sorry about that.
