DLP6500FYE: DLP for specular surface inspection?

I would like to develope an specular surface inspection system. (a kind of 2d scanner)

My idea is to project lines patterns with a DLP system.

Then i would have to capture the reflected image and compare both.

Does TI have a complete solution for that?

Hi Jorge,

We do not have a complete system for that application using the DLP6500. Our Lightcrafter 6500 EVM is an electronics only evaluation module which will easily enable what you're looking to do, you'd have to supply the optics and a camera. You may also want to look at our reference design for 3D scanning, which sounds similar to what you are trying to do. Our design uses binary patterns projected onto a surface to calculate depth. There is an SDK which we have developed that could provide a good code base as well.
