Pico PWRONZ line

Hi,

I checked the Structured Light app note and the Programmers' Guide and found that line 14 of the 24 pin output on the projector is listed as PWRONZ.

The only thing both the documents say is that "PWRONZ is an on/off toggle input for projector. Performs same function as push button on projector."

Can you give more information on how this can be utilized?

Specifically, what do I need to do to:

1. Power ON the projector

2. Power OFF the projector

3. Power ON and hold to send it into the test pattern mode.

All this will be happening from an Arduino Mega board. What voltages and durations are required to trigger the functions above?

Our application requires the Pico to be mounted in a relatively inaccessible location and having a wire connect Power On/Off control is useful.

Hi Abe,

Yes, this Pin-14 (signal PWRONZ) is the on/off input for the Pico. It performs the same function as the push button switch on the projector. This means if you are connected to the PWRONZ pin and you toggle this signal (momentarily set it low) you can turn the projector on or off.

Hi TSolo,

Can this be connected to TTL logic?

I am looking for something like this:

5V------------------------->
           |
          R (330ohms)
   |
CP-----------------> PWRONZ (Pin 14)

CP (external microcontroller pin) can be 5V all the time and can trigger to a 0V Low just to turn on the projector.

Abe,

The PWRONZ is level is 2.5V. It is pulled-up to 2.5V on the Pico board.
