DLPLCR6500EVM: Connection error

Part Number: DLPLCR6500EVM

Up till a few hour ago the LC6500 connected perfect and communicated with the GUI.

I once did not start it up in the correct way, I left the HDMI and USB in the device and after that I connected the power supply.

I don't know if this is the problem, but it is the only thing I can think of.

I can not set it in to any operating mode as you can see below.

Jaap,

I assume you are also unable to put the board into standby mode. Is this correct.

If you can then after entering standby, remove power and all connectors and try restarting.

If not then try unplugging both HDMI and USB and then reinserting USB and trying again.

Is your DMD a revision B DMD?

Yes also unable to put in standby mode, I already tried multiple times to remove power and all connectors and try to restart.

Please try reloading the firmware to see if that corrects the issue.

Do you mean JTAG Flash programming on page 50 of the user's guide? Then I have to buy an new UM232H Module just to try if this helps?

Refering to this post: e2e.ti.com/.../593447. My DMD does become warm but other than that their problem description by Jungdong Zhou looks a lot like mine.

Hello Jaap,

Actually I meant over USB in the GUI. I suspect that it will not be able to open the flash, but I wanted you to try.

Your error seems to be more fundamental in that it does not even talk to the board. Thiers simply would not recognize the DMD.

Since your GUI shows "Connected" I was hoping it might accept the flash program over USB, in case something got corrupted there.
