DLPC3435: I2C address of DLPC343x

Hello TI Expert,

I have a question about the I2C address of DLPC343x.

There is no description about the I2C address in the datasheet of DLPC343x. But it is written that I2C address is 0x36 (or 0x3A) in the programmers guide (4.1.1 of dlpu020a.pdf).

Would you please tell us how the user can change the I2C slave address (0x36 or 0x3A)?

This is the question from our customer who wants to use a pair of DLP chipsets. Thus, they want to use different addresses for these two DLPC343x.

Hello Nobu Arai,

You would have to change the firmware to select a new I2C address. The optical engine manufacture can help with you with doing this change.

Thank you for the answer.

I understood that I2C address can be changed by the firmware modification.

However, if the user do not want the optical engine supplier and design by themselves, how should they do?

Is it possbile to tell us how the user can change the firmware to change the I2C address or is it possible to modify the firmware by TI and provide it to us?
