DLPDLCR2000EVM

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC2607

I just recived my DLP LightCrafter Display 2000 Evaluation Module and there seem to be an issue with it as from it arrived.

It wont boot or display the splash screen.

LED D2 and LED D3 is turned on for about 5 minutes before LED D2 turns off and D3 remains solid green.
When i connect it too me beaglebone the beagle cant see it. when i try i2cdetect or other variants. And yes i have updated too the latest debian release from the forum.

I am using the recommended power adaptor from the manual.
Please advice.

  • Meldre,

Thanks for your interest in our DLP products.

As I understand, both LEDs are remaining ON. This would imply that the system is stuck in the power-on initialization phase, which would explain why your system is not responding or displaying a splash screen. This issue is unlikely to be related to your BeagleBone Black.

Have you checked the communication between the DLPC2607 and the Flash part over SPI? The Flash part is listed as U3 on the EVM schematic, which can be viewed here: www.ti.com/.../tidrs01.pdf

If you have a scope or other equipment for observing SPI signals, you can confirm whether the controller (DLPC2607) or the flash part is failing in a SPI data transaction.

Please let me know what you find so that I can assist you further.

    Best Regards,
    Philippe Dollo
