DLP9000: Turn off DLP9000

Part Number: DLP9000

Hello,

Can anyone tell me the procedure to turn off the DLP Light Crafter 9000?

Suppose we program a certain settings to the mirrors(DMDs) and directly turn off the power supply, will the settings remain on the DLP9000?

Thank you.

  • Hello Sukhjovan,

Welcome to the DLP section of the TI-E2E community.

If you mean, if I display a certain pattern on the DMD and then remove power will that pattern remain on the micromirrors.  The answer is no, and you do not want it to. You should issue a standby command before removing power.  Failure to do so may eventually result in pixels that no longer work correctly.

  • Thank you for the reply.

I want to ask that is there any other protocol for turning off the DLP9000 apart from issuing a standby command first and then turning it off?

  • Hello Sukhjovan,

This is the prescribed way. It is necessary, because the controller performs operations that properly prepare the DMD for the power down.
