DLPR200: firmware ver 2.3.0

Part Number: DLPR200
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPC200,

Hello

My customer is using DLPC200 and DLP chipset for 3-D machine vision from 2013~ .

They are using  DLPR200F ver2.2.0 as latest.

Anyway, I have found that  vesion of DLPR200F updated to ver2.3.0 on 2017 December.

Q1

Should I ask customer to use ver 2.3.0?

Customer do not want change firmware

Q2

What is the difference between 2.2.0 and 2.3.0?

Please send me release note if available.

Best Regards

  • Shibatani-san,

While it is recommended for them to update, if the customer is not experiencing any issues with their current solution, then clearly version 2.2.0 is meeting their needs and they can continue using it.

If they discover issues with their solution, check the release notes to see if it is an item addressed by version 2.3.0.

However, make sure that they implement a way to update the firmware on the systems if the need arises.  If they cannot provide such a path, then you should strongly encourage them to move to the current firmware.

Thank you for your   quick reply!!

    Please advise two thing again.

    1) Would you please let me know how to get release notes of dlpr200 ver 2.3.0 ?

Can I ask you  in offline or can I get website?  ( I could not find it  in website)

    2) Does release note clarify following?

--  The differemce between ver 2.2.0 and 2.3.0?

--  what issue has resolved in ver2.3.0?

    Sorry to bother you again.

    Best Regards

  • Hello again Shibatani-san,

When you download the installer, it should create a directory and place two folders (one for 64 Mb flash memories and one for 128 Mb flash memories).  At the top level it should have have a license file, a manifest, and a Readme.txt file.  The information you seek is in the Readme.
