DLP4500NIR: Transmittance, reflectance, and grating diffraction

Part Number: DLP4500NIR

I have started working with a DLP4500NIR and need to use it for more broad spectrum measurements. While the documentation for this DMD in the 700-2500nm range is excellent, I was curious if there were resources related to its transmittance and reflectance in the 400-700nm spectrum. In addition, I was wondering if there was information related to the grating diffraction of the micromirror array.

  • Chris,

Welcome to the E2E forums, and thanks for your interest in our DLP technology.

I can't directly comment on diffraction caused by wavelengths in this range, but I know that, since this DMD is not rated for these wavelengths, you risk reducing your DMD lifetime in these operating conditions. In particular, you should avoid 0.68 mW/cm^2 of illumination power in this range.

    I hope this helps.
