DLPLIGHTCRAFTER: DLP® LIGHTCRAFTER™ Evaluation Module

Part Number: DLPLIGHTCRAFTER

Hello,

I want to send frames (resolution 608x684) from a computer to DLP at 30Hz rate. I know the DLP can support different pattern combinations at 15, 30, 45, 60Hz frame rate, and I have no problem setting DLP to those modes. However, as only 60Hz is included in the EDID of the DLP, my computer refused to send 30Hz frames to DLP.

To solve the problem, I want to edit the EDID of the DLP to include 30Hz frame rate (608 x 684) as an additional preferred timing block. The following figure shows the timing setting for 60Hz frame rate in the EDID of the DLP. Could you please let me know how to set those fields for a 30Hz frame rate? I know I can possibly get some settings by running cvt or gtf but it would be much better if I could get the exact setting from TI.

Thanks,

Boyuan

  • Boyuan,

Unfortuantely, we do not have stock values on hand for these framerates. I would suggest to you to use the CVT standard for generating timing specifications, as those settings should work on your system.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,
