Hello

Ive got a conflict I'm trying to understand

I'm using the projector for 3d printing(with nano DLP) I'm sending PNG images through the HDMI of the raspberry Pi to the HDMI of the evaluation board.

if I want pixel level control, what do I need to do?

I can fix the RPI res to 912 x 1140 and the res of the video mode to 912 x 1140 (through the GUI), would that do it? or the pic will still go the your Algorithms?

if I cant do it through VIDEO MODE,  do I need to do it through the FPD link?

I cant burn them through the GUI because I need like 1000 picture in every print job.

    Welcome to the E2E forums, and thanks for your interest in our DLP technology.

    You should be looking into use of pattern display mode, which lets you bypass image processing algorithms while running the system at native DMD resolution, with a maximum rate of 120 Hz. Please see page 59 of the DLPC350 programmer's guide:

    The system will allow you to pick between high speed internal patterns or external pattern streaming using the associated "input pattern source" command.

    hey and thanks for the quick reply

    I understand I need to use pattern mode, but I'm trying to understand the architecture I need to assemble for doing streaming of 1000+ BMP files one after the other

    so if I choose the DATA source as flash memory, do I have more options except panda board for expending the flash memory?

    if I choose the DATA source as external video, that means I can stream the photos through the HDMI? if so, do I need to set the HDMI res to 912 x 1140? (input and output sources)

    Hotam,

    For the Panda board you can use any other embedded system or FPGA provided you can send the pattern data in 912x1440 resolution at your desired framerate (from 10Hz to 120Hz).

    In other words, you need to either use flash memory to store your patterns or set up some kind of frontend to send pattern data at the required 912x1440 resolution at up to 120 Hz.
