DLP Lightcrafter™ 6500/9000
Frequently asked questions on DLP Lightcrafter 6500 and Lightcrafter 9000:
1. What light engines are available for the EVM?
Please consult with our design houses for optics for the DLP Lightcrafter 6500 and 9000.
2. What is the difference between single pixel vs dual pixel mode?
Single pixel mode loads one pixel per clock to the DMD and dual pixel mode load two pixels per clock to the DMD.
3. DLP Lightcrafter 9000 EVM only activates half the DMD when using DisplayPort.
Try using dual pixel mode instead of single pixel mode.
4. What is the FPGA functionality in the DLP Lightcrafter 9000 EVM?
The FPGA is used on the Lightcrafter 9000 to split the video data between the master and slave DMD controllers.
5. Pattern mode configuration for the DLP Lightcrafter 6500 doesn't allow me to specify the bit position for my pattern like the DLP Lightcrafter 4500.
In the DLP Lightcrafter 6500 GUI, this feature was removed to help simplify the user experience. The controller automatically takes care of addressing the bit planes of the image and the index number for each image. The GUI allows users to use batch files which are highly flexible and easy to use.
6. I need a new/spare flex cable for my DLP Lightcrafter 6500/9000. Where can I get one?
You can purchase flex cables for these EVMs from DLi, the producer of our EVM. Please use this link:
