Details of geometric parameters of micromirror array of DLP1700

Hi, Pascal:

Many thanks for your previous help. Now I have started my research work using DLP1700 for new applications.

I have to simulate the micromirror array in a full-wave simulator in order to get the diffraction characteristic of that array.

In order to do this, I have to know some details of material and geometry of single micromirror.

1, the heigh and width of the holder which is used to let the micromirror "stand up" and change the state;

2, the thickness of the micromirror

3, the width of a single micromirror

4, the material of the mirror, I want to know if it can be treated as a perfect conductor.

If you are not sure what I said, please refer to the pic I uploaded.

Thanks very much.

Best wishes

Yours sincerely

Fangjing

  • Fangjing,

The mirrors are aluminum. The fill-factor is 92%, which means that the streets between the mirrors take up 8% of the total area. The individual mirrors are 7.56 um center-to-center, with a physical side dimension of 7.25 um.

I am not able to find out the other dimensions which you asked for. All of the available information on the dimensions is in the datasheet.

    Best regards,

    Pascal

  • Hi, Pascal:

Thanks very much for your answer. I have checked the datasheet of DLP1700 but I am not able to find the other geometric parameters that I needed.

I want to know if TI can supply a CAD model of the micromirror array (one single cell is enough). I also want to know where I can get these parameters as they are important parameters for my simulation and further application.

    Best regards,

    Fangjing

  • Fangjing,

I understand your request.  I regret that TI is not able to supply a CAD model of the micromirror array. I can not supply any other parameters that are not in the DLP1700 data sheet. The additional parameters are considered proprietary information, and can not be made available.

Thank you for considering the DLP1700 for your needs. If there are other questions that I can answer for you, I will be glad to do so.

    Best regards,

    Pascal
