DLP4500: Using trigger while operating the DLP4500 via HDMI

Hi,

i am displaying images on the DLP4500 via HDMI. In order to make some accurate measurements, i need to have a trigger to indicate when an image is displayed. I checked the trigger output but it seems that this doesn't work when the DMD is operated via HDMI. Is there any other possibility to obtain a trigger signal, when the mirrors have all moved to the desired position?

Hello Paul,

Can you please confirm what mode you are operating the Lightcrafter 4500 in? You will need to be in pattern sequence mode (not video mode) and create bitplanes for the triggers to be synchronized with. See the manual for more information: www.ti.com/.../dlpu011f.pdf

Hi Hirak,

I am using the DLP4500 in video mode. So it's not possible to receive a trigger Signal, when a new frame is applied?

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately in Video Mode Triggers are disabled. IF you want to receive triggers, you must load the frames in the flash and then display using pattern display mode.
