DLPC900: DLPC900REF: FlashProgrammer side-by-side error

Part Number: DLPC900

Hello Fizix,

In my last thread (Feb-18) you wrote:

"If you get a "side-by-side" error, report back so we can help."

Now we really have this problem on some of our computers-  how do we solve this?

Thanks in advance,

best regards

  • Florian,

We have been wrestling with this issue ourselves and have traced it to a Microsoft foundation class shared library issue. We have either had to switch to a different computer or re-image the computer on which this issue exhibits.

The "recommended" fix is "Reinstalling the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages on your computer". To find the right Redistributable version you will need to go to the Windows Event Viewer. Under Windows Logs/Application, find the "SideBySide" error event and open it and find the line [ version="<numbers>" - where <numbers> is #.#.#####.### of the redistributable needed ] and copy the numbers into a browser to find and load that Redistributable package.

Please note this has not been notably successful on our systems.

We are aware this is very frustrating.
