DLPDLCR2010EVM: DLP2010EVM/DLP3010EVM VSYNC disappears after updating splash screens

Hello,

I am working with a DLP2010EVM and a DLP3010-G1 EVM.  For the past few days I have been trying to get a VSYNC signal on TP2 of the main board of the 2010EVM.  This can be seen in the post below.

I have found that if default firmware with default splash screens is uploaded to the EVM the VSYNC signal is seen on TP2.  If the same firmware image is used but custom splash screen images are added the VSYNC signal disappears from TP2.  Uploading the default firmware again with the default splash screens restores the VSYNC signal.  I am able to reproduced this behavior on both the 2010EVM and the 3010EVM-G1 that are here.  Has anyone come across this issue?  Maybe this is a result of user error.
