DLP3010EVM-LC: Difference to the "DLP 3010EVM-G2"

Part Number: DLP3010EVM-LC
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLPDLCR3010EVM-G2, DLPA3000, DLPA2005

Hello,

what is the difference between the "DLP3010EVM-LC" and the "DLP 3010EVM-G2"?

For our application is important:

- that we can project pattern.
- that we can switch between HDMI and Pattern.

Which product is suitable for this?

Thank you and best regards
Max Amann

  • Hi Max,

DLPDLCR3010EVM-G2 is intended for Display applications only. It doesn't support pattern streaming in the structured light control sense. There are no options for trigger signals or Vsync access. However, this EVM can project brighter images (upto 235 lumens) as it uses the DLPA3000 and thus can support LED currents upto 6A.

The DLP3010EVM-LC on the other hand is intended for Display and Light Control applications. It has all the functionalities of the DLPDLCR3010EVM-G2, but also supports pattern streaming, which means the ability to control exposure and dark times and availability of trigger signals. It supports internal 1D and 2D pattern streaming without the need of an external front end. The only drawback of the DLP3010EVM-LC would be that the max brightness of projected image would be lesser (upto 125 lumens) as it uses the DLPA2005 which supports LED currents upto 2.4 A.

For your application I suggest using the DLP3010EVM-LC.
