DLPDLCR2000EVM: DLPDLCR2000EVM

Part Number: DLPDLCR2000EVM

Sorry if this has already been asked.

Is it possible to have the DLPDLCR2000EVM power on into a specific "mode", ie. as if it had received a set of I2C commands..

o input source 0 - Parallel I/F
o resolution 360x640 nHD landscape
o rotated

If I configure it to display the pi's output and then do a reboot of the Pi without powering down the DLP I can see the Pi's boot text, but I would also like it to do this on power-up as well.

  • Hello Andrew,

Are you able to have a host processor (such as the Beagle Bone black) send the desired I2C commands upon startup? This would mimic your requested functionality. I'll have our expert get back to you at the beginning of next week if there is a better way.

    Thanks,
    Kyle
  • Oh yes, i have a script executed at the end of rc.local that sends the necessary commands, and I'll be working on getting the commands run sooner in systemd. But there's no way on the raspberry pi i can get them to be run before the kernel boots. (I suppose i could try to switch to u-boot - if that's even possible on a raspberry pi)

  • Andrew,

At the moment, the DLPDLCR2000EVM does not support the implementation of auto-initialization configuration settings. If you want to change the startup configuration, you will need to use an external processor to drive the system.
