DLPNIRNANOEVM: Problem with changing default factory reference

Part Number: DLPNIRNANOEVM

Hi there,

I was evaluating the characteristics of the DLPNIRNANOEVM and changed the factory calibration completely to a new source viz. a coin coated with whitener fluid. What is the procedure for reclibrating it to the default settings? Would flashing the EEPROM with default code work? I know about Spectralon but isn't it very expensive to use on multiple devices as it almost equals the cost of the spectrometer in itself. The results I'm getting with the new reference are pretty bad and not consistent. What needs to be changed to correct this?

Looking forward to reply.

Thanks

Rahul

  • Rahul,

Welcome to the E2E forums, and thanks for your interest in our DLP technology.

Unfortunately, if you have overwritten the calibration on your system the factory calibration is effectively lost and cannot be retrieved. You will need to recalibrate the system. There are a couple of options for doing this, however. This other thread discusses the topic a bit:

You may want to consider acquiring a 99% reflective white surface to get a good calibration scan.

    I hope this helps.
