DLPC410: 100 ohm across input pair - do i need it ?

Part Number: DLPC410
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP7000,

Hello

I'm designing a controller board for a DLP7000 DMD, as suggested i'm using the DLPC410 ASIC to generate the control signals.

According to the DLPC410 data sheet section 7 (PIn and Functions ) , per each input Data bit i there are two dedicated physical pins.

The related termination/notes suggest that, across each pin couple, i should put a 100 ohm resistance .

Do i necessarily need to put a 100 ohm resistance across each pin couple related to each data bit ?

Thanks

Federico

  • Hi Federico,

For LVDS signals between Apps Fpga and DLPC410 - you will need to put 100 ohms to properly terminate LVDS signals.
For LVDS signals between DLPC410 and DLP7000 DMD. Termination resistors are not needed as DMD has 100 ohm termination internally on LVDS inputs.
