DLPC900: HOLD_BOOTZ(F24)

Part Number: DLPC900

What do you mean bootloader mode? If the bootloader mode is not installed, are there anything of problems?

  • Hi Uryyy,

Please elaborate on your question. This pin holds the controller in boot mode.

  • Hi ykc

Thank you for very quick response. The DLPLCR6500EVM user's guide does not describe boot mode switch when firmware or bootloader are written via JTAG. Is there anything case when boot mode is used? Or, should we switch boot mode when firmware or bootloader is writtern in flash?
  • DLPC900 has 2 modes boot mode and application mode. If application is corrupted then if boot mode jumper is installed it will force DLPC900 to stay in boot mode so that application can be programmed.
Boot mode pin is useful in case something bad happens in field upgrade. There you may not have access to bootmode pin. It is advised to connect this pin and reset pin of controller to your controller so that dlpc900 can be recovered.

DLPC900 on startup see this pin and stays in bootload mode if asserted.
