WDST-3P-PRO4500: WDST-3P-PRO4500

Part Number: WDST-3P-PRO4500
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP4500

I have DLP PRO 4500 model. I want to display an image of 295*319 pixels. When I uploaded this image for display, the displayed image was smaller than the original image. Please help me to sort out the issue.

  • Hello Muhammad,

Could you please clarify what you mean by it being smaller than the original image? Note the DLP4500 uses a diamond array which will mean the apparent image looks different than when viewed on an orthogonal array.

    Thanks,
    Kyle
  • Hello Kyle,

This is the input image uploaded for processing.

This is the output image coming out from dlp projector.

The problem is that the output image is shrinked. I want same output image as input image given above. Why this problem is occurring?

  • Hello Muhammad,

Could you please clarify what you mean by shrinking? It looks about as expected to me. As mentioned before, the DLP4500 DMD uses a diamond pixel array so the vertical direction may appear expanded while the horizontal direction will not. The image is still recreated pixel perfect given the input image.

    Thanks,
    Kyle
  • Hello Kyle,

The input image dimensions are 2.7 inches in width and 3.2 inches in height. As you can see in the figures, the output image dimensions are not as input image dimensions. It means that the output image coming out from dlp is smaller than original. I need same image at the output side in my application. The distance between the source and the object is exactly 184 mm as specified for projection. What method can be used to get same image at the output side?

    Thanks,
    Muhammad

  • Hi Muhammad,

    what's your application ? Structure light 3D reconstruction ?

If so, you may try to gernerate a pattern of 1280*800 , and then resize its resolution to 912*1140 , note do not to change the bit depth .
