DLP4710EVM-LC: Minimal focus distance

Hi,

We choose the right projector for the 3D scanner project. And we're considering the 4710EVM-LC.

But the manual specifies the minimum distance 40" (cca 101cm).

It is possible to focus at a distance of about 30cm (cca 12")?

Somebody please have some experience with it?

Hello Honza,

The optics are designed for a minimum focal distance of 40" so I do not think you will be able to do 30cm. You will either need to acquire a different optical engine (www.ti.com/.../DLP-OMM-SEARCH) or add additional optics to refocus to a closer distance.
