DLPNIRNANOEVM: Integration Time/PGA Gain

Part Number: DLPNIRNANOEVM

Hi all.

After going through some online resources, I found that for longer sampling distances, a higher integration time can be used to compensate for the results.

How can this be changed in the DLPNIRScan NANO device?

And what is the impact of PGA gain and does it have anything to do with this?

Thanks

Utsav

  • Hello Utsav,

Let me consult with a coworker and we'll get back to you.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

  • Hi Utsav,

The PGA Gain increases the integration time for each individual sample taken by the ADC. This may slightly improve SNR performance of the device. Also, an indirect way to increase the integration time is to take a large number of scans and averaging the results. This will also give you better noise immunity. Although, we are unable to confirm how this methods will work when increasing the distance of the sample from the NIRScan Nano window.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hirak.
