Good evening. I have a problem with my DLP® NIRscan™ Nano Evaluation Module. Specifically, small grains of dust seems to have penetrated the sample window. How would you recommend to remove/clean those grains? Thank you.

Hello Stathis,
Unfortunately there isn’t an easy, user-serviceable method to fix this. The window is glued on from the front and the lens is glued in from the back, so cleaning the interior of the reflectance head requires removing one of these elements, cleaning the inside, and then re-attaching the element. The glue can usually be removed by applying isopropyl alcohol and gentle force. The window is likely easier to remove and reinstall than the lens.
Note this procedure will likely void your warranty.
Thanks,
Kyle
Hi Kyle and thank you for your response.
Does T.I. offers your proposed solution as a service?
If so, could you please give me an estimation on cost and time needed.
Thanks,
Stathis
